Issues that have been fixed or are due to be fixed in the next release, are identified as such.

The following are known issues that are affecting the IRIS Keytime Accountants’ Suite:

Accounts Production

Issues resolved in the Spring 2024 release (v24.1.178)

Validation error occurs when Restricted and Unrestricted funds completed as they are incorrectly being tagged with the same tag

When the purpose of funds is completed for multiple funds which appears in the movement of funds note, a validation error was being created when running the IXBRL accounts for a charity preventing the user from filing accounts. The path to complete the purpose of funds is Option | Funds | Edit | Purpose of Funds

Issues resolved in the Autumn 2023 service pack release (v23.3.95)

Error appears when submitting accounts to Companies House – ‘The selected iXBRL file does not exist in the system’

No longer getting an error when submitting FRS 102 and FRS 105 accounts as the iXBRL file is now correctly generated and attached to the submission.

Class 2 NIC calculation is incorrectly using 53 weeks for 2024 return

The Class 2 NIC calculation is incorrectly using 53 weeks instead of 52 weeks for 2024 return.

Workaround
Override the calculated amount via the Class 2 NIC data entry.
This issue is due to be resolved in the next release.

Overlap relief set off against other income for 2023-24 is not calculated properly when the amount in ‘Overlap relief this year’ has been changed

The unused overlap relief set off against other income for 2023-24 (Box 66) of the Partnership full pages is not automatically being populated. The value of this field is calculated based on the ‘Overlap relief this year’ + ‘Overlap relief brought forward’ – box 65. However, it’s not updating the value of box 66 value when the data in ‘Overlap relief this year’ has changed.

Workaround
The value in box 66 will get updated on the lost focus of box 65.
This issue is due to be resolved in the next release.

Incorrect values appear on the computation when completing a UK property disposal return

When running the SA302 for a Individual tax return, incorrect values were appearing in the computation when populating Capital gains Box 9 on Page 1.

Tax already paid not shown on the SA302 where a loss arises from the sale of unlisted shares

When the user added a disposal for unlisted shares and a loss is being depicted from the sale of shares on the CGT Page 2-Box 35. This in effect was ignoring the value in CGT Page1-Box 10 for the calculation of Tax already paid in the SA302 and was not being shown.

Issues resolved in the Autumn 2023 service pack release (v23.3.95)

Incorrect 2023 dividend rate is reflected on the trust supplementary

It had been reported that when entering dividend income on the trust supplementary pages for an individual the incorrect rate of 38.1% is being displayed (correct value 39.35%).

NIC button missing from Self-employment short RDE

It had been reported that the option to access Class 1 and 2 NIC payments screen in the short self-employment RDE screen did not appear.

Trust Tax

Issues resolved in the Autumn 2023 service pack release (v23.3.95)

2022 Trust Tax XML incorrectly generates with 22-23 date instead of 21-22

It had been reported when submitting a 2022 Trust Tax return, the submission was incorrectly generated with 22-23 date instead of 21-22.

The implication of this is that the 2022 returns would all be filed as 2023 returns with HMRC; therefore the 2022 Trust returns will still be outstanding for submissions with HMRC (and the 2023 would appear as submitted)]

Please check any 2022 Trust Returns submitted after installing our Spring update, version 23.1 in April 2023. These returns may have been logged with HMRC as 2023 submissions and will therefore require a new submission, once the Autumn service pack (v23.3.95) has been installed.
